This cushion is made from a vintage Ahir dowry bag that has been opened out. The red cotton textile, hand embroidery and shisha work is in perfect condition and it is truly a rare and beautiful thing. Textiles of this age and quality are rarely available now. I've backed the cushion with a lavender blue dyed antique hemp, and added a zip fastener and feather pad.
