Amanatun cushion with tassels

This cushion is made from a thick handwoven cotton blanket from the Amanatun region of Timor, Indonesia. It dates to the 1930s and is in excellent condition. The blanket was woven in 3 panels and this cushion was taken from the middle panel. The colours are all natural dyes and include dark teal, ochre and stone. It is a very beautiful and calming palette which would enhance a natural and neutral interior scheme.
I've backed the cushion with a vintage hemp dyed a blue grey colour and there is a zip fastener and feather pad.
