Batik Cushions, Light Indigo

This charming pair of cushions is made from a contemporary shawl from Java Indonesia. The shawl is handwoven from home grown and handspun cotton by an artisan weaver. The textile was then dyed with indigo and wax resist, a process known as batik. I've used the batik for both sides of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
