This cushion is made from a Zhuang wedding blanket that is approx. 100 years old. The colours are vegetable dye and were originally pink and indigo. The pink dye on the silk has oxidised over time to give a beautiful gold colour with an uneven patina, more gold in some parts and more pink in others. The overall effect is beautiful and unusual. The cushion is backed in vintage hemp, has a zip closure and feather pad.
