Buyi Wedding Blanket Cushions

These magnificent long cushions are made from a vintage Buyi minority wedding blanket. The blanket was handloomed in thick cotton, pre-dyed with natural colours. These are stone, brown and indigo. These blankets are very rare to find in good condition and the prices reflect their scarcity. I've made 2 suoer long cushions using both panels of the blanket. I've added a one inch indigo cotton border to the top and bottom of the face of the cushion so that none of the splendour of the weaving is lost visually to the curve of the cushions. The backs are also indigo dyed cotton, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.

This a good sized long bolster cushion which would look stunning on a kingsize or super-kingsize bed. When considering the price please remember that at 42" long it will take up the space of 2 standard sized cushions.
