Cochineal ikat cushions

These 2 cushions are made from a thick cotton vintage ikat from the island of Timor, Indonesia. The ikat is coloured with natural dyes, indigo and cochineal. The use of cochineal is rare in Indonesia so this is quite an unusual textile. The corners have hand made tassels and the backs of the cushions are a vintage Buyi minority handwoven textile in a lovely indigo stripe.
There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
