Dai cushions with vintage tasssels

This pair of cushions is made from a vintage Dai wedding blanket. The wedding blanket dates to the first half of the C20 and is lovely and faded. The pale terracotta colour comes from the mineral dye senna which has faded over the years. I've backed the cushions with another minority textile. This is a vintage handwoven Buyi indigo with a small geometric pattern in the weave and still is beautiful vibrant blue colour. The small tassels are exquisite and a good green colour to go with the brown and blue.
There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
