Wedding Blanket Cushions, Turquoise

These cushions are made from a vintage (c1980) Zhuang minority wedding blanket. The blanket was hand woven in cotton yarn, pre dyed the most wonderful turquoise colour. I love turquoise, its reminds me of Mediterranean sea, and as such works wonderfully with blue and terracotta colours. Ive backed the cushions with an equally amazing vintage handwoven textile from East China. There are indigo dyed tassels, zip fasteners and feather pads.
