Ewe Cushions

These cushions are made from a really unusual Ewe cloth from the 1940s. The weave comprises warp strips in indigo, claret and a sage green which are all lovely soft colours. There are horizontal rows of floating supplementary weft stitches in pale yellow and off white plus weft blocks from all of these colours. I have used the reverse of the stripweave for the from on the cushion as I prefer it. I've lined the cushions to support the stitches between the strips and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
