Guatemalan huipil cushion

This cushion is made from a vintage Guatemalan huipl. The huipil was handwoven with the pattern worked in a supplementary weft technique. The colours are very attractive. The ground in a blue with the patterns in berry and other brighter colours. Im not sure if they are natural or synthetic, but the palette is quite soft. I've backed the cushion with another vintage textile. This is a handwoven berry stripe from Chong Ming Shanghai. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
