What a beauty! This cushion is made from a vintage chackla embroidered by the Rajput community from the Kutch region of Gujurat. Chackla are decorative textiles used in ceremonial occasions as wall hangings or to cover offerings. This one has a lovely vintage look to it, but is in excellent condition. The embroidery is wonderful in a fabulous chequerboard design and the colours quite subtle. I've backed it with a plain heavy linen, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
