Gujurati Cushions With Green Tassels

These pretty cushions are made from a vintage textile from the Kutch area of Gujurat. The textile was is made from hand spun, handloomed cotton, that is a beautiful burgundy colour.  It has been decorated with wool and floss silk and small mirrors.  Its in good sturdy condition and the mirror work is very well secured with stitching. Some of the floss silk embroidery has worn but this adds to its charm. I've backed the cushions with an indigo dyed thick cotton and added some green tassels. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
