Indigo resist cushions with tassels

These cushions are made from a vintage pugai (bedroll) . The pugai is made from handwoven thick cotton that is resist dyed with indigo. The cotton is woven on narrow looms so several pieces are sewn together to make a bigger panel to cover the bed. The pattern picked out in white, depicts small lion dogs playing with a fabric ball. I've backed the cushions with a handwoven striped indigo textile from Songjiang in East China. There are indigo dyed tassels at the corners, and zip fasteners and feather pads.
