Katazome Cushions With Tassels

These 2 cushions are made from a vintage Japanese textile decorated using the katazome paste resist technique. The textile is woven on a very narrow loom in thick cotton, hence the height of the cushion. The backs of the cushions are also in a vintage handloomed textile, this time from East China. and comprise pinstripes in light and very dark indigo, red, green, stone and off white. They work beautifully together and ive added coral coloured tassels to finish it off. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
