These 2 jewel like cushions are made from a vintage shawl from the Republic of Lao. The shawl was handloomed in silk and cotton with the pattern picked out in a floss silk supplementary weft. The colours are natural dyes and include a burgundy ground with supplementary off white, tangerine, pink and chartreuse. I've used the shawl for both sides of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
