Large Banjara Kalchi Cushion

This is a really special cushion. The textiles have good age to them and are a mixture of plain indigo and madder dyed cottons, and block prints. They are in fabulous condition. The Banjara kalchi (envelop bag) is densely quilted in tiny stitching. The centre panel is a very old block print which is over-laid with decorative couched stitching. The border trim is enhanced with applique and the plain linen back of the cushion has been applied to show off this beautiful feature. A beautiful and rare cushion.

It has a zip fastener and feather pad.
