Large Buyi wedding blanket cushions

These 2 big fat beauties are made from the centre panel of an antique Buyi wedding blanket. The textile is handloomed in cotton and silk and coloured with natural dyes. The colour was originally pink and this has oxidised over the years to gold which helps us to age it. There is also a lovely faded indigo in the weave and I've used a thick slubby vintage hemp, dyed indigo for the backs of the cushions. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.

The overall look of the cushions is dusty and muted and they would be perfect in a neutral interior with lots of hemps and linens, where a hint of colour is desired.
