Large Red Dai Wdding Blanket Cushions

These fabulous large cushions are made from the central panel of a Dai minority wedding blanket. The red colour is a mineral dye that has faded over time to this beautiful muted dusty coral. The cushion fronts have a central seam and it is a testament to the skill of the weaver that I am able to join the panels with the patterns matching perfectly. The textile dates to the first half of C20.
The backs of the cushions are made from Buyi minority homespun in a blue and white stripe. Exquisite!
They have zip fasteners and feather pads.
