This is a very long and super pretty cushion made from a vintage Maonan wedding blanket. The blanket dates to pre 1950s and was hand loomed and coloured with natural dyes. The dark indigo cotton ground is patterned with auspicious symbols picked out in various pink tones of floss silk, which is also used for the banding in the mid section. I've backed the cushion with a vintage indigo Sonjiang handwoven textile, which has a faint raspberry pink stripe running through it and the effect is very pretty. Ive added complimentary pink tassels at the corners and there is a zip fastener and feather pad.
These long cushions are beautiful styled on beds propped against the pillows. They are so long they would take the place of 2 or more standard sized cushions.
