Maonan long cushion

This striking cushion is made from a vintage Maonan Wedding Blanket in cotton and silk. The colours of the auspicious symbols in silk are exquisite against the terracotta coloured cotton ground. The cotton is coloured with the mineral dye senna. The silk symbols are in varying shades of blues, teals, celadons cream and pink and positively zing against the background colour.  I've backed the cushions in teal dyed vintage hemp and there is a zip fastener and feather pad. Its a wonderful and distinctive colour combination.
