Miao Collar Cushion

This magnificent cushion is made from a vintage Miao cape. I've removed the central collar and sewn the 2 shoulder panels together to make the cushion front. The needle work is extraordinary and would have taken its creator over 6 months to do. It's made up of applique and embroidery on a tiny scale. There is a slight colour variation in the yellow cotton used on both sides of the cape, which is barely noticeable and a spot of colour run from the red thread in the middle of the cushion. Again this doesn't detract from its beauty. Its a lovely big cushion and has a hand dyed vintage hemp back in olive green. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
