Minority Cushions with Bamboo Tassels

These cushions were made from the vintage cotton backing fabric from a Chinese Minority Quilt. One of them has the most perfect and tiny darn I have ever seen. I don't normally use repaired textiles in my cushions but such was the skill of the needle-worker I had to incorporate it. The textile has been woven on a traditional narrow loom and the widths sewn together to make a wider piece. The quilt back is used for both sides of the cushions. They have bamboo tassels, zip fasteners and feather pads.
