Pink Zhuang wedding blanket cushions

The cushions are made from an early Zhuang minority wedding blanket. The wedding blanket was handloomed in cotton and silk and the silk yarns coloured with natural dyes. The textile has a lovely old patina and the original cotton ground has aged beautifully and is now a wonderful beige colour. There are several pinks in the design and they are lovely soft colours from the natural dye. I've backed the cushions with a pale blue vintage handwoven Songjiang textile which looks beautiful with the pink. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
