Sami Quilt Cushion with Shells and Seeds

This beautiful Sami quilt has areas of plainer pattern so I have adorned this piece with cowrie shells and Tears of Job seeds. The Cowrie shells have been harvested from damaged Banjara textiles. Jobs Tears, scientific name coix lacryma-jobi, is an ancient grain native to SE Asia and has historically been used to decorate textiles.
The cushion is backed with vintage hemp, has a zip fastener and feather pad.
