Songjiang indigo cushions with frill trim

These cushions are made from a beautiful plain c1940s textile from Songjiang, Shanghai. The textile is handwoven on narrow looms and has a wonderful texture. There are little white slubs from the knots in the threads, which are characteristic of handwoven textiles. I've added a frill trim in the same fabric, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
