Songjiang indigo stripe cushion

This cushion is made from a vintage narrow loomed indigo handwoven cotton from Songjiang, Shanghai. The textile is used for both sides of the cushion and there are is a zip fastener and feather pad. I love these handwoven Songjiang. They are a medium weight so good for cushions and have a bit of character with slubs and knots typical of a handwoven fabric. It was originally intended for the clothing market around the 1960s but fortunately for me escaped that fate.
