Songjiang ticking stripe cushions

This is a delightful ticking type or stripe in a handwoven vintage indigo cotton from Songjiang, Shanghai. The cloth was originally destined to be workwear but luckily it has been  spared this fate. It was woven on a narrow loom so I've made the cushions 19" square as the width of the loom only allowed for weaving 20" wide. The colours are a rich dark indigo and a lighter pale indigo and they are really lovely. The Songjiang is used for both side of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
