Swat marriage cushion

This vintage dowry textile from the Swat Valley is in wonderful condition. I've kept the 2 halves together and they are fastened by numerous little gilt buttons around the edge. The rich silk embroidery is in lovely condition and there is no wear that I can see. The bespoke pad is duck feather. This size cushion would be fabulous on a bed. It's a special piece and cushions of this quality are very hard to find now especially in as good a condition as this one.
