Timor futus cushion with teal tassels

These stunning cushions are made from a vintage selendang (shawl) from Biboki, Timor, Indonesia. The selendang is hand woven in thick cotton and is coloured with natural dyes. The colours are beautiful, being a delicate shade of teal, rust and brown on a creamy ground. The pattern is iconic to that area and is called futus. Ive added teal coloured tassels and vintage hemp backs dyed teal. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
The darker cushion has now sold.
