Vintage Swati Pillow

This delightful pink silk marriage pillow from the Swat Valley dates to around 1920. The silk embroidery has faded to a lovely pale pink and is in very good condition. I have backed the cushion with a blue and white striped vintage Buyi minority hand-woven cotton, with zip fastener and feather pad.

In order to preserve the condition of this lovely old textile I wouldn't recommend it for a sofa, but it would be beautiful as a decorative pillow to dress a bed.
