These cushions are made from a vintage Yoruba aso oke. The textile dates to the mid C20 and is a handwoven fabric, that is woven on narrow 4" wide looms. The strips are sewn together to make a bigger cloth. The decorative pattern is made in a floating supplementary weft stitch and also with a black yarn in the weave. They have a delightful rustic look to them which ive brightened up with pretty golden yellow tassels. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
