These decorative cushions are made from a now very hard to find aso oke with floating supplementary zig zag stitches. The textile was made by the Yoruba ethnic group and dates to the mid C20. The textile is a strip weave and the centre of each strip has a yellow stripe - probably in rayon. The cushions are backed with a vintage hemp, have piped edges, zip closure and feather pad.
