Bai mustard shibori cushions

This lovely large pair of cushions was made from a beautiful cotton textile from the Bai ethnic minority in China. The work is contemporary and highly skilled. The pattern has been made using a tie dye method called shibori and the dye itself, which is a plant dye is a fabulous mustard colour. The pattern has also been picked out by couched stitching in off white, so its a really decorative work. The shibori is used for both sides of the cushion, one side is slightly darker than the other so you have a choice on how strong you like your mustard! The edges are self piped and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
