Blue and white striped cushion

This pair of cushions are made from a contemporary handwoven textile from the Karen Hmong ethnic group in Thailand. The textile is woven in thick cotton on narrow looms, so there are two pieces joined at the middle to get the desired width of the cushion. They are big soft squishy cushions and although not vintage are still unique and unlike anything you would be able to buy from a High Street retailer. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.

The purchase of these textiles is also providing desperately needed trade for communities who are dependant on tourism and have had their income disappear due to Covid travel restrictions.
