Coral Rote ikat cushions

This pair of cushions is made from a thick handloomed cotton shawl from Rote island Indonesia. I sometimes purchase contemporary handloomed textiles to support the weaving communities and help to keep these traditional skills alive. The ikat has been coloured with  a natural dye and is a pretty coral colour. The ikat is used for both sides of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
