Long Indigo Batak Cushion With Tassels

This beautiful long cushion is made from a traditional Ulos textile from the Batak people, northern Sumatra. The weave is known a tenun or ikat weave. The Ulos would be worn as a shawl and I've used the lovely fringed ends of the shawl for the cushion ends. The tenun weave uses two tones of indigo and as with any indigo textile, like jeans, i wouldn't place these cushions on very light coloured fabric in case of colour transfer. The cushions have zip fasteners and come with a deluxe feather insert.
