Code: SEK14 & 15
These cushions are made from a thick handwoven sekomandi ikat from Toraja, South Sulawesi. The sekomandi ikat is coloured with natural dyes in wonderful indigo, terracotta and a reddy brown. Sekomandi are used to decorate traditional houses in Sulawesi, for ceremonies such as weddings to celebrate the cycle of life. The thick cotton used for the textile makes it ideal to use for cushions and upholstery. I've backed these cushions with a heavy linen in a similar terracotta shade. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
