Framed Ottoman Embroidery

This beautiful Ottoman embroidery is taken from a larger textile that was probably a table runner.  I bought it because I loved the coral pink, mauves, and berry colours of the silk embroidery. The textile itself is a hand spun, hand loomed fine linen which has lots of character. There are one or two faint stains and some degradation of the silk but this adds to the charm of the piece and shows its age. I've mounted the textile on antique hemp over a stretched canvas, and there is a hanging wire on the back.
