Antique Embroidery Cushion

These two cushions are made from an unused antique linen which is a beautiful buff colour. I have trimmed the sides of the cushions with strips of C19 Greek embroidery, early C20 crochet and metallic ribbon. The embroidery is in silk on hand spun and loomed linen. The colours are natural and the silk has worn over time to the exquisite patina that you see now. The resulting cushions will be an elegant and understated addition to an interior scheme.

The embroidery strips will be a little fragile so don't use these cushions on seating that will get a lot of use.
