Fabulous XL Mongolian Bolster Cushion

This magnificent long bolster cushion is made from an early Mongolian tent hanging that dates to the first half C20. The embroidery is in chain stitch and is in a palette of pinks and off white on a black background. All the colours have faded with time to a soft muted tones. I've backed the long cushion with a hand loomed vintage textile from East China, in pinks yellow and grey which works beautifully. I think a pillow of this size in such a special textile should take pride of place on a king size or Super king size bed and is certainly one to build a decorating scheme around.

There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
