This embroidered panel is simply exquisite. It dates to the early C20 and is Greek or Ottoman in origin. The embroidery is in silk on a handloomed linen ground. The design of tulips is beautifully executed by counting the linen threads and the piece has a narrow embroidered border. The colours are soft blues, greens and coral. I've stretch mounted the textile onto antique hemp and there is a hanging wire on the back. If you would like a Perspex box to cover the textile, which is good to protect it from dust and UV light damage, I can get a price.
