Maonan long cushion with pink tassels

This is a very long and super pretty cushion made from a vintage Maonan wedding blanket. The blanket dates to pre 1950s and was hand loomed and coloured with natural dyes. The off white cotton ground is patterned with auspicious symbols picked out in various pink tones of floss silk. I've backed the cushion with a vintage hemp dyed dusty pink and the effect is very pretty. There are pink tassels at the corners and a zip fastener and feather pad.
These long cushions are beautiful styled on beds propped against the pillows. They are so long they would take the place of 2 or more standard sized cushions.
