Songjiang Blue And White Cushions With Tassels

These fresh blue and white cushions are made from a vintage hand loomed textile from East China. Textiles such as these were woven for domestic use or by a girl's mother to be part of her dowry when she married. The looms were typically around 14 or 15" wide so I've sewn 2 pieces together to get the desired width in a horizontal stripe. The textile has a few imperfections in the weave as is often characteristic of a hand loomed textile and these are part of its charm. The blue colour is a delightful pastel shade. Ive added hand made blue tassels and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
