Vintage Nagaland shawl

This c1950 Nagaland handloomed cotton shawl is too beautiful to cut up for cushions. It’s in perfect condition except for one or two strands of fringe becoming unravelled. The cotton is a good weight but still drapes nicely and the colours are beautiful. Charcoal, brown, red, orange and beige with wonderful geometric patterns in a floating weft. It adds a very smart touch to a sophisticated interior, as a throw on the end of a bed or over the arm of a chair or sofa.
