Green and Pink Banjara Cushions with Tassels

This pair of cushions is made from a heavily quilted Banjara bag. The quilting stitches are in the iconic thick off white cotton and on one of the cushions there is a wonderful strip of decorative stitches. As well as having a useful function, these bags were also opportunities to show off the Banjara woman's needlework skills.
The cushions are green with pink and yellow accents and hand made yellow bamboo tassels. I've backed the cushions with pink dyed antique linen, there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
