Buyi wedding blanket cushion with tassels

These three cushions are made from sections of a vintage Buyi minority wedding blanket. The blanket is hand loomed in cotton and floss silk and coloured with natural dyes. The floss silk is worn in parts but the colours are still strong, giving the cushions a lovely vintage but colourful patina. I've framed the panels and backed the cushions with indigo dyed vintage hemp and added colourful tassels at the sides. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
