Yoruba cushions with teal tassels

These cushions are made from a vintage Yoruba aso oke. The aso oke is strip woven in cotton and wild silk with lace holes and thin strips of supplementary weft in a faded blue which is probably rayon.  The texture is lovely and slubby from the wild silk and the colours are varying tones of greys and browns from the natural dyes used. It has a wonderful raw feel.  I’ve added handmade bamboo tassels at the sides in petrol blue and backed them with hand dyed vintage hemp in a similar colour.
There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
