Benin round bolster cushion

This beautiful indigo striped round bolster is made from a strip-woven cloth that dates to the middle of the C20 from the Benin Republic. The cloth is hand woven from hand spun cotton and has a wonderful slubby, knubby texture. There are several shades of indigo in the cloth and they are still wonderfully vibrant. I've made the bolster ends with a contemporary thick cotton that has been dyed a similar shade of indigo and there is a zip fastener and feather insert. This would be a beautiful bolster to grace a bed, with or without cushions propped against it.
