Lombok cushion, watermelon red

These cushions are made from a contemporary handwoven textile from Lombok, Indonesia. Im not a big fan of red but this is a delightful colour. It reminds me of watermelons. Its not a solid red but has lots of different tones maybe from uneven uptake of the dye by the yarn. There are accent colours in the stripes of light blue, green and sepia, plus some nice songket weaving which is a pattern made by a floating weft stitch. I've added indigo tassels and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
