Code: Songjiang Cushions, Purple Stripe

These cushions are made from a vintage textile from the Songjiang weaving district in Shanghai. The textile was handwoven in handspun cotton on narrow looms only 12 " wide. The colouris difficult to descibe. Its made up from narrow stripes in different tone os blue, off white and claret. I would say overall that reads more as purple than blue. The textile has the lovely slubby texture to be expected from handwoven yarns. I've made up 2 cushions and they have zip fasteners and feather pads.
